LabRAM HR Evolution Raman Microscope
The LabRAM HR Evolution Raman microscope is configured for confocal imaging in 2D and 3D. The microscope currently has 300, 600, 1200, and 1800 g/mm gratings and is equipped with four wavelengths of excitation lasers (405nm, 532nm, 633nm, 785nm). The instrument’s detector is a Synapse detector that is thermoelectrically cooled to -75C. With the motorized stage and Duo Scan capabilities detailed 3D maps can be generated. The instrument is typically calibrated with a Silicon wafer, but a neon reference lamp is also available. This reference lamp and the sample’s spectrum can be acquired simultaneously. The microscope’s LabSpec6 software is very user friendly and is linked directly to Wiley Science Solutions’ KnowItAll software for quick comparison to and searching of the available spectral libraries. Typical samples include liquids, powders, unprepared surfaces, and polished sections.
