Pete specializes in collecting and preparing vertebrate fossils. Preparation methods include acid, manual, microscope, and air abrasion for research purposes. He supports the National Fossil Collection through rehousing, molding, casting, mounting specimens for exhibition, and photographing the vertebrate collections held by the National Museum of Natural History.
