My research interests focus on the taxonomy, phylogeny and macroevolution of echinoderms, primarily sea urchins and sea cucumbers. I describe new species, infer relationships among varied taxa, and study the evolution of body plans and the processes that have influenced the geographic distribution of major groups through time.
