Steve Canty is the Coordinator of the Marine Conservation Program, which focuses on the design and implementation of marine reserves primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean. Using genetic tools to identify connectivity within and between populations of key fisheries species, e.g. yellowtail snapper and habitats, e.g. mangroves, to identify the correct spatial scales for management.  Steve collaborates with national and international organizations to design tools that aid management decision-making, and provide feedback to management actions.
