Jose Zuniga joined the Global Genome Initiative as a Molecular Lab Technician for the Barcoding Project in March 2016. He performs molecular lab procedures such as DNA extraction, amplification and sequencing for the project, as well as sequence data quality control and submission to online repositories. His research interests include angiosperm systematics and biogeography. Dr. Zuniga received his Ph.D. in Botany from Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden.
