Ian is a dedicated museum professional and former service member with a diverse background in leadership, operations, and public engagement. He spent the past five years at the National Museum of Health and Medicine, contributing to its mission of education and historical preservation. Before that, he served in the U.S. State Department and the Department of Defense, applying his expertise in government operations. Ian is also a proud Army veteran, having led a platoon during a 15-month deployment to Iraq. As a disabled combat veteran, he brings resilience and a deep sense of service to all his endeavors. He holds a bachelor’s in business management from Strayer University and a certificate in Political Science from Harvard University. Outside work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
