Cameron Berglund is an Ocean DNA Intern in the Benthic Ecology Lab at the Smithsonian Marine Station. He assists the development of the Indian River Lagoon (IRL) as a demonstration site for using environmental DNA (eDNA) for long-term ecological monitoring. He is helping build reference libraries for benthic infauna in the IRL, processing eDNA samples, and preparing voucher specimens.
