Lists target fish diversity that occurs in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States of America. They are intended to guide the construction of DNA reference libraries as a part of the NMNH Ocean DNA initiative and US National Aquatic Environmental DNA Strategy. GenBank accession numbers of mitochondrial genomes generated by Ocean DNA are included in the lists where applicable. See GenBank accession number for specimen voucher information.
