Catalog number G11739, the Kimberley Diamond. The Kimberley Diamond is a 55.09-carat, rectangular emerald cut diamond from South Africa. Designed by the Baumgold Brothers, the pendant is mounted in a platinum setting with approximately 70 carats of smaller baguette diamonds. Donated to the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History by Bruce Stuart in 2019, the Kimberley Diamond is the 4th largest faceted diamond in the collection.
