| Dalquest's Pocket Mice are very closely related to Little Desert Pocket Mice, and like them, make their homes in sandy soil. They are solitary and nocturnal, spending the day alone in their burrows and foraging for seeds at night. Their fur is much softer than that of many pocket mice and they lack spines on their rumps.
