Wulfenite is a lead molybdate and is most often found as thin tabular bright orange-red to yellow-orange crystals that have a resinous to greasy luster. It can also occur in granular masses. Wulfenite is associated with lead and molybdenum ores. Impurities of chromium color wulfenite vivid shades of yellow, orange and red.
