You Are What You Eat… For Corals Too
Gallery Talks & ToursThursday, October 3, 2024, 1 – 3pm EDT
Description
Corals are mixotrophic, meaning they rely on multiple forms of energy, which they get from feeding on plankton/organic matter and photosynthesis. This is a superpower because depending on the environment a coral lives in, or if a coral experiences stress, it can rely more on feeding to support resilience to high-temperature stress. Come to the Ocean Hall to learn more about their superpowers!
