Busy Beavers: Restoring Riverscapes
Gallery Talks & ToursWednesday, July 23, 2025, 1 – 3pm EDT

Description
Beavers are ecosystem engineers that build dams and lodges. Today, beaver populations are lower than their historic amount, but we still need beavers to shape streams. So, some restoration efforts are taking inspiration from beavers! Learn about Beaver Dam Analogs as one example of low-tech process-based restoration techniques that improve water quality, fish habitat, and water table levels.
