Northern Baja Deermice are medium-sized, with very long tails and long, soft fur. They are found in low deserts and on rocky slopes, sometimes making burrows and sometimes finding shelter in rock crevices or debris. Like other Peromyscus, they eat insects, green vegetation, and seeds. They can have three or four litters a year. The one to four offspring are usually running about before they are two weeks old. Their average lifespan is probably about a year.
