Yellow-bellied Marmot

Capt. Lewis, August 20, 1805--I have also observed some robes among them of beaver, moonox (ed. – marmot), and small wolves.

Capt. Lewis, April 24, 1806--saw the kildee[r], the brown lizzard, and a Moonax which the natives had petted.
