After Five, Lectures & Discussions

Thursday, December 6, 2018, 6:45 – 8:30pm EST

Description

Join us as we explore the latest developments in human health. Hear from physician-scientist Jean Bennett, one of the winners of the 2018 Smithsonian American Ingenuity Awards, on transforming her dream of finding a cure for blindness from idea to reality. You’ll also hear first-hand from Sabrina Sholts, Curator of Physical Anthropology at the National Museum of Natural History, and more on the new technologies, innovative strategies, and research addressing local and global human health. This program is made possible by support from Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and is offered as part of a series related to the new exhibition, Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World, at the National Museum of Natural History.
