| Yucatán Vesper Rats are arboreal and apparently willing to move into man-made structures: one was caught in a small tree, but another was caught in traps baited with bananas on the rafter of a house, and two others high on a shelf in a thatch-roofed hut. They have hairy tails and big ears. Little is known about their habits, their food choices other than bananas, or how abundant they are.
