Artibeus watsoni

Thomas's Fruit-eating Bat

Order: Chiroptera
Family: Phyllostomidae

Conservation Status: Least Concern.

These small bats are found in humid forests, roosting in tents made of leaves. They have never been found in other kinds of roosts. Small groups often roost together. Palm trees with fan-shaped or fishtail-shaped leaves seem to be the roost trees of choice.

Range: Head and Body: 50-58 mm

Range: 9-15 g
