Sika - Eurasia - Temperate forest

Sika (Cervus nippon)
Sika deer graze on the summer grasses – and in the winter, woody plants – of China, Siberia, Korea, and even Japan. They have at least 10 vocalizations, including soft whistles between females, alarm calls, and a stag’s eerie whistle used to attract females during the rutting season.
