REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - Adult Public Programs Coordinator

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) seeks a contractor to coordinate adult public programming for the Office of Education and Outreach’s Community Programs branch. The Community Programs Branch is responsible for developing public programs that engage local adults, families, and citizen scientists with the Museum’s research, collections, and overall mission.

The goal of this position is to assist education staff in developing activities and programs for our different audiences. The Adult Public Programs Coordinator will work independently and as part of collaborative teams to organize and implement approximately 25 evening and weekend programs that take place at the National Museum of Natural History between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017. Work effort will be equivalent to approximately 4 days a week and will include occasional evenings and weekends.
